The walk in French will begin with an exploration of the original Ville Nouvelle, New Town, developed in 1763 by James Craig, after the fall of the Old Town's fortifications. It will discuss its unique architecture and the importance of the Scottish Enlightenment movement
.We will then go for a stroll to Dean Village, an ancient village of millers and bakers on the banks of the river. We'll make a detour to the mysterious Dean Cemetery, where very few visitors venture. Finally, we'll drive through Stockbridge before returning to St Andrew Square, where it all started
